| Pals is a medieval town in Catalonia a few kilometres from the sea in the heart of the Bay of Emporda on the Costa Brava. It has a historic centre on a hill surrounded by plains with an ancient Romanesque tower, a Gothic Quarter and cobbled streets interrupted by semicircular arches, façades with pointed arched windows and stone balconies.

| In Madrid, if you must rely on street names you will not find them hanging from a traffic light or on an obvious street post. Instead you will find your street (calle) decoratively painted on tiling against the side of a building usually near an intersection.
