Nice captures! It looks really beautiful! It is great that Singapore will have another source of fresh water supply. Do you know how much time it took to finish it? It looks like a really big dam!

Hi Karina, thanks for your kind comments !

It took about 2 years if I recalled correctly, well, the idea was mooted 20 years ago.

Do drop by and take a look at the Marina Bay Barage ! It's quite big !

the beaches are located at Pasir Ris, East Coast Park, Changi Village and Sentosa. It depends on which area you prefer. For me, i would choose Sentosa (even though currently the IRs are being build there), the beaches there are nice to swim in and the resorts and hotels are located walking distance to the beaches. You can look at this webpage http://www.sentosa.com.sg/hotels_spas/index.html for resorts avaiable at Sentosa. Hope this is helpful to you.

Singapore has a tropical rain forest climate with no distinctive seasons as the country is located near the equator. Its climate is characterized by uniform temperature and pressure, high humidity, and abundant rainfall. Temperatures range from 22 °C to 34 °C (72° to 93 °F). June and July are the hottest months, while November and December make up the wetter monsoon season.

If you are coming to Singapore next, be prepared for a rainy period.

You may visit Sentosa's Siloso beach as many tourists often get a good skin tan after their Sentosa's day tour.

Have fun!

Hi bindero

The Marina Barrage is one of Singapore's newest locations built, it's worth a visit, to enjoy the sceneries, the Marina Bay view and how a bay was transformed into a reservoir.

For swimming, Annoymous below mentioned East Coast Park & Sentosa, 2 excellent places for swimming.

Singapore is a tropical country, won't be too cold for swimming, instead, u would find swimming to be a great way to cool down in this hot weather !

The Marina Barrage is some place where friends and families could enjoy, relax. But the surroundings of it are more interesting:the S'pore Flyer(ferries wheel as big as the London Eye);a public golf course(par 72);Central Business District;nice hotels(classic and budget);pubsand eatery places. The beaches here are also where families can have pinic, bring the dogs for a run, bicycles for hire;fast food...etc...Weather now around 34 degrees C though it drizzle these few afternoon, makes the place cooler. It's at East Coast Park.Another nice place would be at Sentosa:it has got man made beach;museum;a fort;mono rail if too tired to walk;connects to a cable car that bring you up a Mount Faber for night scenery......

Hi, There are lots of places to go to in Singapore. If you are looking for beaches to go. I recommend Sentosa and East Coast Park. Sentosa has lots of other places of interest such as Song of the Sea, Underwater World and all. East Coast Park is where all the cycling and roller blading happens. There are lots of shopping centers in Singapore as well. Orchard Road has lots of them. Prices are quite affordable there. If you like nightlife, you can go to the pubs at Clark Quay. There are many there.

Hopefully these are useful to you. Have a nice trip.
