| In April 2008, I have spent two weeks in Japan with my 15 years old daughter. We spent one week in Tokyo, then we comute to Kyoto in Shinkansen to spend the second week there. Japan is really a country of contrasts and I hope that by discovering these photographs you will have only one desire, to go there you too.

| This photo is of the Rocinha Favela, in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. In some ways Rio is like a miniature Latin America; there is natural beauty along side grinding poverty while happy and energetic people live within a sea of violence.

| Valkenburg is situated in a beautiful part of the Netherlands which is perfectly suited for walks or (mountain) bike tours through the hilly terrain. Although the municipality Valkenburg aan de Geul only has about 18.000 inhabitants, it hosts about 1 million nights a year.

| Cape Town is the second most populous city in South Africa, forming part of metropolitan municipality of the City of Cape Town. It is one of the cities that is definitely worth visiting and that won’t let you disappointed as the locals are friendly and the food is just amazing!
