Samos Greece is the most visited island of the North-Eastern Aegean Islands, keeping, nevertheless, its beauty and calm places. Picturesque villages and peaceful places can be found in Samos.

I think Samos island is the location of the joint UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Heraion of Samos and the Pythagoreion, do you know if this is true? This island has an amazing history! Do you intend in visiting it again? Is it really expensive to travel there? I bet not that expensive as Santorini is:)Great captures! |

Very, very beautiful pictures of Samos Island!
I'm planing a trip to Greece for the next year(June).
So if everything goes well I am planning on visiting- Athens:3days, Crete:4days, Santorini:3days, Paros:3days (plus 2 days for the airplane trips).
I'm planing to sleep in hostels to save money try to find the less expensive routes to the places I am planning on visiting, and also walking tours.
I was wondering how much money do I need for 15 days....I've thought on a budget of about 600 Euro..is this enough?
Considering the fact that I already have to pay around 250 Euro for the my flight.
Thanks a lot!

hm... hostels aren't the best thing in Greece, they're usually in very bad condition, but if you want cheap accomodation, then it's ok. And I'm not sure if 600 euros are enough, Greece is expensive... |

if anyone has planned to visit greece in wintertime then he/she should visit the mountainside because a lot of trouble occurs with ships in winter(bad sea weather,cancelled/postponed travel plans, deserted islands etc.).
so i would n-o-t suggest any of the ..islands.
in.. my opinion, the best place to visit in wintertime is OLYMPUS(the highest greek mountain)area.FANTASTIC WINTER LANDSCAPES,soooo many beautiful villages, proper accomodation,FANTASTIC FOOD,cannot describe more..Check out the net for photos by typing OLYMPUS MOUNTAIN GREECE in ..google.
com..!you will need aproximately 300-400 euros for plane tickets(including return to Hungary),700 up to 900 euros for hotel-rooms accomodation(for 2 persons) for 2 weeks staying there and you can have a fantastic lunch-dinner for 30-50 euros each day!renting a car is optional,in my opinion not necessary, because there is organized transportation by hotels or the villages' authorities.
ALL prices above are high-season prices, since almost every single greek citizen visits the mountains in ..wintertime.
So.. i guess that your friend should have an amount of 2000 euros maximum for really unforgettable vacations.i hope i have been helpful to you and i shall kindly answer any further questions.Shine on! |
