| Fatehpur Sikri was once the capital of the Mughal Empire during Akbar-the-Great's time. Shahi Darwaza or the Royal Entrance was one of the gates for entering the capital and this was meant for the use by the Emperor himself. The entire Fatahpur Sikri is very well preserved as is this gate.
